FAQ:

"Can I ask for a consultation for my wedding or special occasion makeup?"

-Yes, you can definitely ask for a consultation.  A consultation would require a 20% down payment on the service requested.  If a consultation is requested, please call me to make arrangements in advance.  If travel is over 25 miles, the travel service fee will apply (please see below).

"What is the travel service fee?  How is it calculated?"

-The travel service fee is only applied to any travel that is over 25 miles to an appointment destination from Cutler Bay, Florida (one-way).  I calculate travel fee based on the miles between the destinations.  I will charge a flat fee of $15 every additional 10 miles from my address.  Thus, if your appointment location is 30 miles from my address, I will charge you $15 in addition to your service price.  If you are located 40 miles from my home, you will be charged a flat rate of $30 in addition to your service charge.

"Can clients come to your address for makeup?"

-As I do not have a proper studio setup, I do not prefer to have clients come to me.  I prefer to travel to clients at this time as I will be able to get a feel of what you will be wearing and how I can compliment your attire.

"How far in advance do I need to make an appointment?"

-You can make an appointment at a minimum of 1 week in advance.  All appointments are subject to availability and are first-come-first serve.  If there is an urgent request, you are welcome to email me directly at salinaworks@yahoo.com, or call/text me cell phone.  I will try to accommodate as much as I can.  For weddings, please allow a month in advance at minimum in case you want to request for a consultation session.

"How long are makeup lessons and do I need gear?"

-Lessons are charged by the hour based on the Offerings Page and are as long as you like it.  They can run an hour to 2 hours.  I usually have a conversation with the client to pinpoint needs before going into a lesson to make sure that they are met.  You do not have to have gear and can request for me to bring mine.  However, if the lesson is for your personal makeup, I would love for you to have your essentials on-hand.  It makes more sense to work with what you have.

"Should I plan to have a facial before a wedding?"

- I highly recommend that all facials are done 1 week prior to a wedding makeup.  This is due to the fact that your skin needs recovery time and you want to have your skin fresh for your special day.  Same goes for brow waxing.

"Will I get a confirmation upon my appointment scheduling?"

-Upon appointment request submissions, you will get a confirmation of the receipt of your time and date requested.  However, I will call all clients to speak with them on their needs and confirm the appointment during this time.  In addition, I will send to you a calendar invite to save the date and time if confirmed.  If I am not available, I will be sure to let you know as well via phone or email.

"How long do services take?

-You may allow for the following:

  • Wedding Bride:  1-1.5 Hours
  • Wedding Bridesmaid:  1 Hour
  • Party Makeup:  1 Hour
  • Photography Makeup:  1-1.5 Hours
  • Transformation/Drag:  2 Hours

"What is your cancellation policy?"
